Scenario 1: Harassment

Introduction : Follow Prof. X : Warn Prof. X

You chose: Reply, “You know there may be trouble. This is the kind of incident that sometimes leads to a harassment complaint.”

When Prof. X replies, “Are you threatening me?” you say, “Not at all. I’d like to avoid any nasty situation. I’d like to help if I can.” Prof. X tells you that no help is needed.

You can...

Let P handle it.
Say, “I think I got off on the wrong foot here. I hope things between you and Chris get better and would be glad to help if I can. Goodbye.” You leave.
Go With P
Leave quietly.
Throw Out Food
Suggest that Prof. X might want to talk to the Chair of the Department about this incident.
