Scenario 1: Harassment

Introduction : Follow Prof. X : Back off and wait

You chose: Back off and watch to see if a similar incident happens in the future.

In the next two months you witness a similar incident with a different graduate student and hear that last week there was another one with Chris, but Chris was the on who stormed out that time. Chris hasn’t been seen in the lab since then.

You can...

Let P handle it.
Go talk to the Chair of the Department.
Go With P
Talk to an Ombuds person about what to do.
Throw Out Food
Think to yourself that Prof. X ’s reputation is going to get around, so that grad students won’t join that lab, and the professor will be sorry.
