MIT Campus Viewed from Harvard Bridge
Standing by the Charles River bank is a block of neo-classic style buildings which comprise the original "new campus" of MIT, designed by William Welles Bosworth, when it moved to Cambridge in 1916. Many new buildings have been added later, and the elegance of the original style is deminishing year by year. The most prominent (tallest) building is the Green Building (Building 54), shamefully ugly by prominent archetech I. M. Pei, who has designed many MIT's buildings.
