I can't wait for another day to remove the word "candidate" from my title, after passing my doctoral thesis defense on May 11, 1998, and to declare with great excitement: Now you may call me Doctor!    :-)

Sc.D. abbr 1 :  Doctor of Science, equivalent to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in all regards except the name   2 :  Doctor of Science, a degree that is essentially equivalent to Ph.D. but has slightly more prestige in ole England universities, especially the OxCam system   3 :  Seriously career devastated   4 :  Sour cream Delite   5 : ....
