FD02 - Maintain Accounting Notes

Accounting notes (for example, highlights/outcome of a phone conversation) can be added by client departments and A/R personnel. They are maintained as part of the customer master record and can be printed on aging reports.

1. Get Started

2. Change customer: initial screen

  1. Select customer (Enter customer number: MIT ID, SSN#, or 7xxxxxxxxx):

  2. Continue or ENTER
    The "Change customer: General data" screen displays; the Address tab is open.

3. Change customer: general data

From menu bar, select Extras=>Texts to display "Change customer: Head office texts" screen.

You can begin the notes in the area labelled "1st line" (see below).

Alternatively, double click on Accounting Note (see above) to display an entire screen for entering accounting notes (see next step).

  1. Type in accounting notes, for example highlights/outcome of a phone conversation.

    You may be adding to the existing notes. You should date your notes; you may want to initial them for future reference.

  2. (F11) to SAVE
    A message appears stating text was saved.

  3. (F3) (once or twice) to return to "Change customer: general data" screen.

6. Change customer: general data

(F11) to Save.
A message appears stating changes were saved.
