Prelaw Advisors
Advisor Profile
Prelaw advisors include MIT staff, faculty and alumni who are active in the practice of law, legal scholarship, teaching and/or counseling. Advisors have expertise in a wide variety of specialty areas and volunteer their time to speak with MIT law school candidates (current students and alumni) about trends in the legal profession, as well as experiences they have had both in law school and as a professional. An additional resource to connect with professionals with law degrees or professionals working directly in law is the Alumni Institute Career Assistance Network (ICAN).
If you are interested in serving as a prelaw advisor or if you would like to recommend someone who might be interested in advising prelaw students and alumni, please contact a member of the Preprofessional Advising staff.
