What do outside sources report about a company?
Beyond the rankings, there are a variety of media that pay special attention to tracking certain industies and the top companies and firms within a particular industry? In various newspapers, business reports, magazines and journals, you can find information given by a mix of investment analysts, business journalists and other professionals who seek to highlight:
- how a company is being managed and any major changes to how it conducts business
- public and private reaction to mergers or aquisitions
- aspects of a company beyond fundamentals and financials (e.g., corporate culture, emerging competitors, other background data, etc.)
- critical assessments of a company' strengths and weaknesses
