The MIT Caribbean Club is an organization at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology in
Cambridge, Massachusetts which promotes the eclectic cultures that are only
found in the Caribbean. We serve as a resource to the wider community for
information on the Caribbean. Students who were born in the Caribbean, or who just have an interest in the Caribbean are encouraged to join the club in order to gain a real Caribbean experience while at MIT. This semester we have exciting activities planned such as many MCDT (MIT Caribbean Dance Troupe) performances, so look out for us! Here is an email from an MIT Caribbean Alumnus:
"I was surfing the web and just happened to bump into the MIT Caribbean
Club website. I'm a graduate of MIT ('88), and am glad to see that the
Caribbean student community has grown in numbers from the time that I was
there. After viewing the MIT Caribbean Club Dance Troupe video from the
spring performance (my memory fades me, but it looks like it was held on the
Student Center steps), I’m happy to see that the Caribbean students have not
lost their spunk. (The video was the bomb and the idea to incorporate music
and dancing from many islands was excellent!) This email is simply to say
I’m proud of you guys, thanks If you have questions then you can email the Club's Executive board at: caribbean-exec (@mit.edu)
