Queenstown


Our next stop was Queenstown, the adrenaline capital of New Zealand (and perhaps the world). Surrounded by the aptly named Remarkable ranges, Queenstown is a mecca for extreme sports enthusiasts. Before we could lose our courage, we went bungy jumping over the Kawarau river, the world's first commercial bungy site. We also threw in a jet boat ride on the Shotover river, and a romantic helicopter ride followed by a private lunch on a secluded mountain peak. And because Carol couldn't get enough, she decided to add in a canyon swing for good measure.
