Summer 2003 in Boston
This is the first summer I've ever spent in
Boston. The city is so different when you actually get a chance to enjoy
it. Below are a few photos I've taken so far this Summer.
Fish Sitting
First time ever that I've had to Fish Sit.
Not much to it, I found out. I think when I decide to get a pet later on
in life, it will definitely need to be more playful. Maybe I'll get myself
a dog, rabbit, or perhaps a parrot.

An up close picture of the fish. Yes.
It has a name. No. I don't remember it. |
Day Trip to Arnold Arboretum
A perfect day to go to the Arboretum. We
did a little bit of hiking and had a picnic, but mainly we just chilled and enjoyed
the beautiful weather.

Day Trip to Boston Harbor Islands
The day started off kinda gloomy, but as the hours passed by
it turned out to be a pretty nice day to visit the Boston Harbor Islands.
We took the 10 AM ferry to George's Island, took a guided tour, ate lunch and
then headed over to Peddocks Island. At Peddocks we hiked around the
entire island (about 4 mile round trip). If we hadn't picked it up half
way through the hike, we would have probably missed the last ferry and would
have had to spend the night on the island! Luckily, we made it back on
time. It was a very fun trip!

| Picture of George's Island. Pretty Foggy Morning |
These seagulls were just plain evil. They remind me of
the seagulls from Finding Nemo. |
Make your own crab. There was tons of crab parts
laying around in Peddocks Island. We decided to make our own crab
out of these. |
 |
 |
 |
| Sorry. No running water. All they
have at George's Island are these so-called "Enviro-toilets". |
I think I'll just lean on this door. I
need a short break. |
Oh no! Jenny's Stuck in the Enviro-toilet.
We need help opening this door =) |

No Sink? No Problem! We have
things figured out. That's why we go to MIT, right? |

Weekend Trip to NYC
Finally had a chance to get away from Boston for a
weekend. I went down to New York City with Matt for the weekend and we did
some sightseeing, eating, and lots of walking =p. Some of the better
pictures I took are posted below

 |
| Ah yes... The city in all it's
splendor. Here I am next to a small garden on the corner of 5th Ave.
and 60th Street. |
|
New York City streets. Here's a view
down 5th Ave. To the left, is Central Park. On Saturday I ran
11 miles there. |

 |
| This is as close as I got to the Statue of
Liberty and Ellis island. Due to the heightened security, the line
to get on the ferry was unbearably long. |
Nice WWII Memorial on the south ferry. |
Inspired by the statue of liberty, I decided
to pose for this picture. Kinda looks like I'm inhaling the statue
=). |

 |
| At Rockefeller Center they had an exhibition
commemorating 100 years of flight. This is a model of a fighter jet. |
A rocket adorns the tower of Rockefeller
center. |
They actually flew this plane at one point in
history. I think it looks pretty neat. Mustache and everything |

FAO Schwartz. |
Matt and I have a toast during
breakfast. Boy were those cups small. I wish I could have had
more OJ. |

 |
| The Crown building looks pretty nice. I
wonder who paid for it? |
|
Well, what do you know? =) Click on the
