CENTER FOR BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING
CBE exists administratively within the Whitaker College of Health Sciences & Technology at MIT. The intellectual agenda of CBE is guided by an Internal Steering Committee, with oversight by an Institute Advisory Committee. Operations are conducted by an Administrative Committee, with final executive authority given to the Director. An External Visiting Committee will also be developed. The Administrative Committee is composed of the Associate Directors for Facilities and Programs along with the Director. The Internal Steering Committee includes the Director, the Associate Directors, Thrust Area leaders, and individuals responsible for major CBE initiatives. The Institute Advisory Committee is comprised of appropriate unit heads from MIT and associated institutions.
