Ta-Ming Shih was a member of Prof. Kolodziejski's research group from 2006 to 2012 earning Ph.D. in 2012 and a Masters of Science in 2007 in Electrical Engineering. He conducted research in the development of silicon-based large area photonic crystals composed of rods resulting in a M.S.E.E. thesis titled “Super-Collimation in Rod-based Photonic Crystal” and research in the development of Indium Phosphide based devices resulting in a Ph.D. thesis titled “Indium Phosphide based Integrated Photonics Devices for Telecommunications and Sensing Applications.” He is currently employed by McKinsey and Company.
