MIT’s Center for Biomedical Innovation held its second annual Stakeholders’ Summit on September 25 and 26, 2006 in Cambridge MA.  The Summit drew 143 participants from a broad range of international stakeholder groups, including industry (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, data management, provider and payer organizations), government, and academia.  Attendees explored program theme of “Optimizing the Productivity of Academic-Industry Collaborations” within the context of five specific research topics, each representing a current or potential Transformational Research Program (TRP) of CBI:

  • Post Marketing Surveillance
  • R&D Productivity
  • Follow on Biologics
  • Clinical Trials/Stratified Medicine
  • Vaccines
