Enhancing the Productivity of Collaborative Innovation
Challenge: It is reasonable to assume that co-location of organizations (e.g., biopharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and government agencies) involved in innovation within the life sciences will enable productivity. However, little has been done to quantify the impact of such geographic clustering or to understand success drivers. How do we fully leverage the potential that exists within a biocluster in order to optimize its impact on patient care?
Approach
- Analyze productivity of well-established bioclusters in San Diego, Singapore, and Boston
- Develop and validate tools that identify methods for productivity enhancement
