I am now head of the "Web Tools and Operations" unit of the Academic Media Production Services department at MIT, after 5 years as a Faculty Liaison in Academic Computing Services, the last three being increasingly involved in the design and development of MIT's learning management system known as "Stellar". I arrived as a freshman in the class of 1983, getting S.B. and later a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, and worked in that department as a Research Associate for several years after that before moving to Academic Computing.
