CAMPUS RESOURCES
Students, faculty, and staff at MIT live, work, and play on a campus that includes an extraordinary variety of cultures, races, ethnicities, and points of view. African Americans, Mexican Americans, Native Americans, and Puerto Ricans make up 18 percent of the Class of 2004; Asian Americans comprise 27 percent. International students will constitute 9 percent of the Class of 2004; in recent years, they have represented one-third of the graduate students on campus. The Institute's faculty and staff reflect this cultural variety, as well as the ethnic multiplicity of the United States, and MIT's role as an international leader in teaching and research.
MIT is committed to expanding opportunities for education and research in science and engineering, and to enhancing the experiences of its community members. What follows is an overview of MIT outreach efforts and resources for students, faculty, and staff.
A sometimes bewildering array of Institute offices and student groups supports and reflects the diversity of our campus community. What follows is a list of resources that may be helpful.
