Rule 109 cellular automata tea cozy.
Minor innovations in the mechanics of the steek, and a pattern that I predicted and planned a big before knitting. Completed January 2013 (started in 2008).

Rule 110 cellular automata tea cozies.
My knitting had lain fallow for some time, but I was reminded that the tea cozy idea was worth revisiting, in the spring of 2008, and then I discovered that looking after a toddler child allows many opportunities to knit, as long as the project is fairly sturdy.

Cellular automata tea cozy (Rule 30).
"Camilla, you just knitted a TEA COZY based on CELLULAR AUTOMATA. You are already NUTS."

Cable tea cozy.
In December of 2002, I had just relearned how to knit. Well, I had remembered well enough, but it never clicked well when I was holding the yarn in my right hand. I went out and bought a copy of Knitting in Plain English by Maggie Righetti, and figured out how to knit with the yarn in my left hand. This tea cozy was what I made to test my understanding. It's been surprisingly durable, and is still in regular use in 2008.
