Why should I become a chemical engineer?

Chemical engineers are, above all, problem solvers. Many different types of employers seek the ChemE’s analytical and trouble-shooting skills, making chemical engineers some of the highest-paid professionals in the country.

Having a base in chemical engineering prepares you for any number of exciting and fulfilling careers in science, engineering, business, and policy. Chemical engineers use their skills to become entrepreneurs, practitioners, and managers in various fields, ranging from energy to biotech, patent law to microbrewing; one Course X alumnus is even an astronaut.
