Industry
Both doctoral and M.S.CEP graduates are interviewed by a range of industries including petrochemical, consumer products, materials, electronics, pharmaceutical, and biotech.

Academia
MIT doctoral degrees are well represented on the faculties of other universities.

Post-doctoral
Some of our doctoral graduates seek short-term research appointments to extend their expertise in a particular technical area.

Consulting
Our graduates join technical consulting firms, as well as management and business consulting firms. Others have joined investment banking firms.

Entrepreneurs
Each year, some of our graduates start their own companies. Often a new company is based on the graduate's thesis research, but some have successfully started ventures in new directions.

Combine the versatility of chemical engineering training with the experience and connections of MIT, and the effects can be far-reaching.
