The Graduate Student Council for Course X (GSC-X) represents graduate students in the department. We present a variety of social activities, such as the ever-popular TGIF parties, summer barbeques, and the department Christmas holiday party with its award-winning skits. We also organize practice sessions for the oral qualifying exams and participate in curriculum discussions and department reviews.

Officers are elected each spring for the following academic year. The 2008-2009 officers are:
