Chemistry Mediation

A Department Open House is held every spring to provide freshmen with information about the chemistry major program. This event provides first-year students with an excellent opportunity to speak with chemistry faculty, chemistry majors, and Chemistry Education Office staff about the major requirements, chemistry subjects, UROP opportunities, and career possibilities.

High school students who have been admitted to MIT are cordially invited to visit the campus on the Campus Preview Weekend and at other times. "Pre-Freshmen" are welcome to visit chemistry classes and tour department facilities. Please contact Melinda Cerny, Assistant Director for Chemistry Education (cerny@mit.edu) for information.
