Interdisciplinary programs offer students the opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of research areas. Current programs include the Biotechnology Training Program and the Program in Polymer Science and Technology.

Aside from the formal interdisciplinary programs, many graduate students engage in interdisciplinary research through formal and informal collaborations with faculty and students from various departments at MIT.
