Each year Course 5 holds an Undergraduate Research Symposium in the spring semester to celebrate research being conducted by UROP students working in laboratories of the chemistry faculty. This year, the symposium will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013.

All undergraduates doing chemistry research are encouraged to participate. There will be a poster session from 10 am-noon in 56-154 (refreshments available at this time), followed by lunch, and then oral presentations in 56-114 from 12:30-2:00 pm. The oral presentations are usually set aside for seniors.

Strem Chemicals supports this Symposium with an annual $250 prize for Excellence in Undergraduate Research presented to the student with the best poster or talk. All interested MIT undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctorals, and faculty are cordially invited to attend this enjoyable and stimulating event.
