TUTORING

One-on-one tutoring is available for the following Chemistry classes:

To be eligible for tutoring services, a student must be:

• attending recitation regularly
• turning in problem sets
• attending office hours

and have the approval of his/her TA. 

To receive tutoring services:

• Print out a Tutor Request Form from this site for the class you are taking.
• Complete the self-diagnostic on the form.
• Meet with your TA to discuss the areas where you need additional help.
• Your TA will turn in your request.
• A tutor will be assigned to you within two days and will contact you. 

Students who are receiving a “B” or better are not eligible for this service.

There is no fee for this service.

Applications to become a tutor are now being accepted for the Fall 2012 semester. To apply, please click here (undergraduate) or here (Graduate) to print out the application.  Return the completed application to Jared Embelton in room 6-205, jarede@mit.edu, by Friday, February 15, 2013. Tutors will be selected by Tuesday, February 19, 2013.
