The International Scholars Office is sponsering a Tax Information Workshop for International Scholars and Faculty on Wednesday, February 15, 1995 from 2-4:30 PM in the Mezzanine Lounge, 3rd Floor, Student Center. Attorney Paula N. Singer will present the US tax rules applicable to foreign nationals, including information on filing tax returns. Tax forms and resources will be available. Please note: there will be separate workshop for International Students on Friday, February 24. Please contact the International Students' Office at 3/3795.
The Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society is seeking applicants for the Dr. Philip L. Levins Memorial Prize. Candidates must have completed at least one year of graduate work. The award consists of a certificate and an honorarium.
The State University of New York at Buffalo announces its call for papers for the 13th Annual Graduate Students' Symposium, to be held on May 17 and 18, 1995. The symposium provides a forum for graduate students to present their research to peers.
All members of the chemical physics community are invited to join the (free) "molecular-dynamics-news" email list,. The list can be used to distribute details of conferences, vacant academic and postdoctoral positions, changes of address and other news in the Molecular Dynamics field. It also serves as an archive of up-to-date email addresses for people in the field. The list was created in June 1993, and now (February 1995) has about 770 members. To join the email list, send the following message (substituting your own name for John Kennedy, of course):
