EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
For more info on the opportunities listed below, please check the blue binders in Headquarters.
Research Position
- Process Separations Group of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (US Department of Commerce), Boulder, CO is seeking doctoral level chemists and chemical engineers to carry out fundamental research on adsorption phenomena as it relates to separation processes.
Faculty Positions
- Portland State University, Portland, OR. Two positions open for assistant professors in analytical and bioorganic chemistry.
- See Beloit College listing under Postdoctoral positions below.
Postdoctoral Positions
- Prof. John Z.H. Zhang, New York University, New York, NY has a postdoctoral position available in the area of theoretical and computational chemical reaction dynamics. The work involves both the development of fundamental methodologies as well as applications of theory to practical reaction systems. The candidate should have a strong background in computational quantum dynamics and be committed to theoretical research.
- Auburn University, Auburn University, AL seeks postdoctoral fellows for research in fuel cells, batteries, and specialty electrode applications utilizing fibrous materials.
- Beloit College, Beloit, WI seeks a teaching postdoctoral associate for two years starting August 1995. As part of the NSF-funded ChemLinks Coalition project this person will help to develop, test, and disseminate modular thematic course materials emphasizing active and collaborative learning strategies for the first two years of the chemistry curriculum.
- Prof. Eugene Smotkin of Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL seeks a postdoctoral fellow to join a fuel cell team doing fundamental research in catalysis and electrolytes.
