Welcome to the MIT Department of Chemistry’s Industrial Recruiting Program site.

The MIT Department of Chemistry hosts visits by industrial recruiters interested in hiring PhD-level chemists. Recruiters are invited to make presentations about their companies and to interview candidates in the department.

In preparation for Fall 2008 Industrial Recruiting, the Chemistry Department, in conjunction with Chemical Engineering, the ACS, and Colgate-Palmolive, presents an intensive workshop offering sessions on Managing an Effective Job Search, Business Presentation Skills, What to Expect from an On-site Visit, and Strategies for Successful Interviewing. In addition, individual sessions providing resume review and mock interviewing are available by sign up.

This workshop will be presented in August, and preference for participation is given to graduate students, postdocs, and alumni in the departments of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
