More planning events are in the works for IAP and early spring. We now have ASA recognition, and will be able to reserve rooms on-campus. We will be organizing a few field trips to Harvard and surrounding chapters to observe their playgroups and club infrastructure, as well as to talk about collaborative work.

In January, we will be forming committees that will be responsible for each of the various aspects of China Care. The committees are as follows:

Community Outreach: contacting our immediate local community to raise awareness and funds (Chinatown, local businesses and companies of all sizes)
On-Campus Fundraising: organizing fundraising events at MIT (bake sales, performing arts shows, sports tournaments, auctions, valentine sales, etc)
Campus Relations: recruiting outside or faculty speakers to educate our campus about issues
Playgroup planning: organizes playgroup events, locations, participants, contacting local resources to recruit adopted children, contact other chapters to share wait-lists
International Relations: dealing with China Care's international exchanges such as collecting and mailing medical supplies, corresponding directly with China Care headquarters and Children's Homes, organizing overseas trips anf associated funds

Officer elections are coming up for the '08-'09 school year.
