The MIT Laboratory for Chocolate Science
Past Events
- Our chocolate dipping event went off like a breeze! We had pots of molten chocolate and a variety of tasty finger foods to dip in them. Fun for the whole family.
- We ended up running four sessions of our incredibly
oversubscribed truffle-making workshop. All four went very well and
all participants had plenty of chocolate to take home. Since demand
is so high for this event, we'll probably be running additional workshops
on a regular basis in the future. Watch this page for more information after
term starts.
- We held a chocolate tasting, which was wildly
successful. Many kinds of chocolate, all slightly different, all truly
wonderful.
- We sold truffles at the midway. It went really
well. We didn't sell all our truffles, but we did make some
money. We sold them in Lobby 10 and W20, and made over $200, enough
to cover the cost of the chocolate!
- We had a Chocolate Brunch/Buffet Sunday October 12,
which thanks to Kelsey was a resounding success!

- We experimented with Chocolate Sculpture on Friday October 10, in
an event run by Ariel. Look for pictures of the successes (and a
little about what we learned) coming soon!
