Flying Katydid

This was inspired by a dead katydid I found in one of the MIT buildings. I guess they die after mating, near the end of the summer. Such is the life of an insect.

I decided to neglect the antennae on this model, a move inspired by Michael LaFosse's classic praying mantis.
