Specifications

Transparent sword displays are made from clear 1/2" thick laser-cut plexiglas (acrylic) plastic. The size is based on a katana stand (for Japanese swords) and works well with long and medium-sized swords.

Instructions

Assemble the sword stand by inserting the two holders into the slots in the rectangular base. If you choose to permanently attach the parts, use a small amount of acrylic glue on the legs. We recommend using Weld-on (link) glue for Plexiglas.

We suggest placing the stand on a soft cloth to prevent scratching the stand. If you choose to display on a hard surface, you can attach the adhesive vinyl feet (included). Clean the stand using soap and water or a soft cloth and a cleaner approved for plexiglas (avoid industrial solvents). Over time, the stands may get slightly scratched or scuffed from use. We recommend using Novus plastic polish (link) to remove scratches.

Due to slight variations in materials and the laser cutting process, the fit of the pieces may vary by several thousandths of an inch. If you decide not to the pieces together permanently, you may find that the fit of the pieces maybe be looser than you prefer. If this is the case, you can add several pieces of clear tape to the tabs to decrease the gap.

SAFETY NOTE: Never pick up the stand with swords still on it. Take the swords off the stand before moving the stand from one place to another.
