In the year 1999 AD I wanted a sword, so I decided to make one. Now I have four.

My teachers are my father, a woodworker, Fred Cote, a machinist, Toby Bashaw, a blacksmith, and J.D. Smith, a bladesmith.

Swords are graceful, dangerous, and reminiscent of the heroes of old times. They can also be magnificent pieces of art. Some of my favorite sword makers are Kotetsu, Umetada Myoju, and Kano Natsuo, who made sword fittings.
