Acadia National Park - July 21st-24th 2006

After returning from Idaho, I headed up to Acadia National Park with the MIT Outing Club for four days of hiking and relaxation.

Yuhua, Valentina, and I drove up from Boston on Friday morning, climbed Dorr Mountain and Cadillac Mountain on the Friday afternoon, and finished the day off with a quick dip in the freezing north Atlantic waters at Sand Beach. The following day, Kate and I did a 12-mile trail run, and were then joined by Yuhua for an rainy ascent of Champlain Mountain on the east side of the island. On Sunday, we went sea-kayaking at Seal Cove, before making a short trip to Lake Wood for swimming. Yuhua and I made a short hike up Beech Mountain on the Monday morning before heading back to Boston with Valentina on Monday afternoon.

These photos were taken on my Canon G6 and Yuhua's Sony DSC-V1. As usual, I have only been able to upload the scaled versions of the original images, but if you would like any of the full-size versions, let me know by email.
