Welcome
The GSC Orientation Hike is an annual event aimed at introducing incoming MIT graduate students to New England hiking. If you're new to the area, it's a great way to get to know people who also enjoy the outdoors.
About the trip
On Saturday September 2nd, we will take two buses up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This year, one bus will be going to the popular Franconia Notch region, while another will be heading to the Sandwich Range mountains on the southern fringe of the Whites. Each bus will be split into six hiking groups of approximately eight people. We cater for everyone, and split people into groups depending on ability – whether you're new to hiking, or a complete expert, we'll have a trip for you.
How to sign up
To register for the trip, you must first buy a ticket from the MIT Orientation info Booth. Tickets cost $20 for MIT students, and $25 for guests. To complete your registration, you must then fill out the online registration form.
