Boston area hiking clubs
- MIT Outing Club – open to all members of MIT, Wellesley, Lincoln, and Draper Labs, this club organizes many outdoors trips of all kinds in the New England. It is a very large and active community. They organize two large weekend trips to New Hampshire in the fall and several trips to Acadia in the summer, and during IAP they run “Winter School” to teach winter survival skills.
- AMC Boston Chapter – this division of the Appalachian's Mountain Club organizes many trips year-round to the White Mountains, and is open to the entire Boston community.
