Current Efforts

1. High-throughput microscopy screen to identify genetic regulators of fat and body size in the worm C. elegans (Alex Soukas lab)

  1. Hundreds of thousands of images from screen of all 20,000 genes in the worm.

  2. MATLAB-based image analysis pipeline.

  3. Working towards cloud-based analysis.

2. New mathematical model of aging that generates key predictions such as when aging begins and how shapes of survival or mortality curves relate to the underlying biological process of aging.

High Throughput Screening yields insights into metabolism and aging through discovery science and pathway mapping.
