The CI Lab applies five critical resources in pursuit of our goal of building a network of informed, inspired and involved people confronting social issues with the creative use of technology:
People: Reaching out to communities and industry from its base at MIT, the CI Lab coordinates fellowships to support promising teams and innovations. The CI Lab also prepares students for a future that will require cross-boundary perspectives.
Research: The CI Lab coordinates a variety of research initiatives that provide useful guidance to academics as well as practitioners in communities and strategists in industry.
Activities: The CI Lab hosts events of all types and sizes to stimulate cross-boundary conversations about technologies as they related to civic issues.
Information: The CI Lab’s web site provides access to publications, research, events and links to sources of related information online and off.
Examples: Through networking, contests and other methods, the CI Lab strives to locate and highlight working examples of technologies of change and cross-boundary teams.
We invite you to join us in our work.
