Product Development Track: SDM Program
The Product Development Track of the SDM
program (Systems Design and Management) offers a dual degree in engineering
and management. The program is designed for mid-career engineering professionals
who seek leadership roles in bringing new products to market. The program's
distance-learning component allows engineers and managers to pursue a
master's degree without extensive time away from work. Students can:
- Take courses broadcast to their company from MIT.
- Visit the MIT campus five times per year (each visit is about as long as a typical business trip).
- Study courses created especially for the program.
- Conduct a research project and write a thesis to complete the program.
