Hello, I'm in my 5th year as a graduate student here at MIT in Electrical Engineering (Course 6) studying Electromagnetics (Area IV). My
research involves medium power, high bandwidth electromagnetic wave amplifiers at the Plasma Science and Fusion Center in the Waves and
Beams division. The primary applications of this type of research area are nuclear fusion, radar applications and my
project, which focuses on Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) spectroscopy, a hot field currently. I did my undergrad at Villanova University, which is about 30 minutes west of Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, and graduated in May 2002 with my BSEE. My senior project at Villanova was the Solid State Ion Tweeter, which uses a plasma flame to create audible
omnidirectional sound waves of high quality. Prior to undergrad, I was homeschooled all 12 years through high school with my two
younger brothers, Gavin and Chris, along with 650 other families in Chester County, PA.
In my spare time, I an avid musician on piano, organ, and
guitar, and also picked up tabla drums (see my music page).
I am a big art fan and I enjoy abstract reverse-painting plexiglass. I've recently gotten interested in photography too. I have a 3rd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and have been training on my own here at MIT.
I am involved with the MIT Graduate
Christian Fellowship and have been attending the Korean
church with my great Korean friends and also Park
Street Church in Boston occasionally.
Also check out my old Villanova webpage (1999-2002).

systems from finding my email address. Maybe I'm just silly)
