South Korea: Busan: Touring around

(modified 6/7/06)

Some pictures from around Busan before we left for Jeju Island.

Near Heidi's parents apartment.

Heidi's parent live on a lower floor of this apartment with a very nice view. The view from the top floor stairwell (with the window open) is stomach turning.

Some fishers near the edge of the rough water.

The underside of a pagoda-like shelter in a nearby walking park.

Colin in his morning stretching routine.

Lunch with Dr. Kang at "Mok Jang Won" (Pasture).

And there's us at Mok Jang Won.

And a miniature pasture outside.

I love this sign. I don't know if putting the two signs together means the toilet is as important as Moscow, or if Moscow is as important as the toilet!

Another view.

The top of the mountain near Heidi's parents apartment.

Heidi with the cowboy from the pizza shop.

A street in "Nam Po Dong" village, a hot spot for small shops and street vendors.

Eating some good "Neng Myun" (cold buckwheat noodle soup) at Hyundai Department store.

The day before Election Day of local governing officials: Young people dance in the street to support one candidate. Trucks with large posters of the candidates drove slowly everywhere blasting recordings of the candidates speeches.
