Harvest Party at First Korean Church of Cambridge

(modified 10/31/06)

A fun alternative to Halloween!! A bunch of kids from the First Korean Church of Cambridge dressing up, playing games and eating candy!

These were all taken with the Canon 550EX flash. It was my first time using a flash with people. I usually rely on available light, but this room is notoriously dark and I always end up shooting ISO-1600 (and getting either too much noise or not enough detail with my 1D). I put a homemade $0.01 diffusor on top: Half of a quart-sized plastic milk container over the flash. I should have cut a hole in the top because I didn't need to diffuse the light bouncing off the ceiling. Oh well. Next time.

We had pirates and clowns...

Princesses getting face painting..

I drew this little bunny, but it was tough with blunt paint sticks!

This 2-year old tries self-face painting. Probably not a good idea!

Then she found the cookies and wouldn't leave them! Her dad joins.

Cinderellas, a wizard, and brides decorating cookies...

A knight makes a cookie.

"Hey that's my cookie!"

The princess sisters.

Buzz Lightyear was there too.

Nascar drivers and more Knights played some games....

What's this? Hair painting?

A more pirate-y pirate indeed!

He decides to fall some cans at the throwing game.

Aaarrhhhhh!!

The wizard has some tricks up her sleeves.

Everybody check your candy bag!

Thanks everyone!
