My Road Map to Graduation

(modified 11/04)

Wow, getting through the logicstics of gradschool is not a simple undertaking. There are many tests, forms, things to be submitted, deadlines, papers, abstracts and summaries to write, ... oh yeah, and research to do! So I made this little page to try to keep track of the framework.

Done

  • Doctoral Proposal submitted 5/27/2005, pproved 7/27/2005
  • TA duty for 6.013, Electromagnetics and Applications, done spring 2005
  • RQE taken 11/10/04. Passed 3/15/05
    • rqe_paper.pdf (461kB, pdf) - a paper I wrote explaining about the 100W gyroklystron
    • RQE_pres.ppt (1.2MB, ppt) - the presentation I gave 11/10/04.
  • Master's Thesis submitted 8/4/04F. Accepted 8/4/04
    • Master's Thesis (1.4MB .pdf), Design of a Wideband, 100 W, 140 GHz Gyroklystron Amplifier
  • Master's Degree Application submitted by June 11, 2004 for September degree. Submitted online 5/6/04
    • Online degree application found through MITWebsis.
  • Master's Thesis Proposal Sumbitted 10/20/03. Accepted 10/21/03
  • Technical Qualfying Exam (TQE): Passed 6/20/03
    • 6.002 S (Basic Electronics)
    • 6.013 S (Electromagnetics)
    • 6.630 A (Electromagnetic Wave Theory)
    • 6.641 A (Electromagnetics of Forces and Motion)
