I don't know why people are so interested in communicating with the dead. I am not ignorant of the spiritual realm-- I am a Christian and believe in Jesus Christ that he died to pay for my sins. He has changed my life from the inside out. The miracle of salvation is amazing. Everything I study, I see the hand of God's creation. You might think that sounds strange for an electrical engineer insterested in electromagnetic beam physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I believe that communication with the dead is not of God-- we see this in the Bible very clearly; in Luke 16:26-30, we read:

" And beside all this, between us (heaven) and you (hell) there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. "

God refuses to grant the rich man in hell the ability to tell his brothers how terrible it is. There is a great gulf between heaven, hell and earth, such that we shall never know of heaven or hell while we are still on earth.

If this phenomenon is not from God, then it is either some perfectly explainable effect (physical), figment of imagination (emotional, mental), or it is from Satan himself (spiritual). God tells us in Revelation 22:18 that the Bible has been completed and there is no more spiritually divine information that He will pass to us because He has given us the Bible to read.

If you feel convicted by any of this, please bow down to God and pray that He might be your God and guide you life. Submit yourself to him and ask for him to come into your life. You can find peace without searching for ways to communicate with the dead. also see: http://www.familyradio.com.
