________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) - MIT Fellowship in Chemical Biology provides interdisciplinary research opportunities for undergraduate students with a physical or quantitative background to conduct research in biological sciences, and for students with a biological background to conduct research in chemistry. The goal of this training program is to lower the barrier between chemistry and biology and to promote understanding and collaboration across fields. Participating faculty include those with primary appointments in biology, chemistry, and biological engineering. The 10- week summer research program runs from June 9th through August 8th, 2008 and includes an introductory training session, workshops throughout the summer, and oral presentations of research at the conclusion of the program. Up to 8 fellows will be accepted both from within MIT and from schools around the country.

* Update: All student researchers and mentors can view seminar schedules and contact information under the Program Information page.
