In June, after the close of the academic year, the Picower Center for Learning and Memory hosts an annual retreat on the coast of Maine. The retreat features scientific talks by the Center's faculty, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. Lab members are also given the opportunity to present their work at the two poster sessions. Also, all members of the Center are afforded the opportunity for fun and relaxation in a beautiful seaside setting.
The Picower Center retreat
was held June 9-11, 2003, in Kennebunkport, Maine. Research collaborators
included scientists from the RIKEN Brain Science Institute of Japan, and the
Salk Institute. The keynote speaker was Dr. Holly Cline from Cold Spring Harbor
Laboratory.
