Mr. Lorenzo Mendoza Biography Born in Caracas in 1965, Mr. Mendoza has a Master Degree in Business Administration from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to his current position, he was an executive in the merger and acquisitions department of J. Henry Schroder Wagg & Co. Ltd in London (1988-90), and worked as and executive in the corporate banking department of Citicorp/Citibank in New York (1987-88) Mr. Mendoza is a member of the Board of Directors of BBVA Banco Provincial and AES La Electricidad de Caracas. He is also a Director of the following institutions: Venezuela American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VENAMCHAM), Junior Achievement, Consejo de Empresarios Venezuela–Estados Unidos (CEVEU), Council of Conindustria (Venezuelan Confederation of Industrialists), Consejo Empresario de América Latina (CEAL), Consejo Superior de la Universidad Metropolitana, Venezuela Competitiva and Consejo Superior del IESA. Mr. Mendoza is also a member of the World Economic Forum and of the MIT Dean’s Advisory Council. He is married to María Alexandra Pulido and they have 6 children, María Alexandra, Lorenzo, Ana Mercedes, Cristóbal, Santiago and Sofía. He is a big fan of sports as tennis and baseball, runs marathons and practices skiing and water sky. He is also an avid reader of contemporary Iberoamerican history. Panels
