This sight looks very colorful, which immediate conveys the right
attitude. It looks bright and fun! I didn't know what King's Dominion
was when I signed up for the site so I found out it is a theme park
for Paramount rides and characters (in the same vein as Universal
Studios Parks or Disney World). The site is very easy to navigate,
with clear links in menu at top of page. One useful tool is the ability
to access a calendar of events to see when special things are going
on at the park (for example, concerts, math and science days). You
can also buy a season pass online, but it requires a shipping &
handling fee as well as requiring you to order 7 business days in
advance. One really cool feature is the ability to read about rides
and see pictures. This includes new rides and attractions that are
just coming out. Some of them also have a QuickTime movie where you
can watch what the ride looks like. The part I found interesting is
that it lists specs on things like height, speed, ride time, number
of inversions, and train capacities.
The site also offers useful information for planning your trip. The
"Plan A Visit" section gives you itineraries for seeing
the park with kids of different ages. In addition, you can see height
requirements for different rides and find accommodations near the
park. Other useful features on the site include a downloadable and
printable park map and directions to park.
I found the site to be very informative and also convey a sense of
the park for those who will be going there.
