One of the great things about the Internet is that anyone can make
a website. And it's getting even easier. The costs are getting cheaper
and cheaper. But because it's so easy, there are tons of websites
out there, tons you will never see or hear about. If you are building
a website, now you have to do more than just make a great site to
get noticed. You need to advertise, you need to get your name out
there, and you need to be seen. And that is what Spider Bait is all
about.
Spider Bait is company whose goal is to help out the web builders
who are in the beginning stages. They won't think of an idea for your
website for you, but they will help you realize your ideas. The site
is divided up into six main sections that the web designer would be
interested in in order to get their website noticed. The first is
domain registration. A site will need an easy to remember URL in order
for people to visit it. Long addresses with subfolders and such are
no longer acceptable for professional websites in this day and age.
Next there is web hosting. The web site builder will need somewhere
to store their pages, as well as somewhere with high enough bandwidth
to support the traffic they expect to receive. Surfers generally won't
return to excessively slow websites. There is also a section on web
design, to help the proprietor of a site create it. The next to sections
are website promotion and search engines. The purpose of these two
sections is to get the websites noticed. Web promotion usually consists
of web banners. Search engines is a section to help someone get their
site listed on popular search engines, so that users can find it with
more ease. Lastly, the final section consists of ideas on how to make
money on the Internet. All of these sections are simply lists of other
sites which will help the web designer with those specific tasks.
In the top left-hand corner of the site there is also a section of
"hot links." These links are a list of the most popular
moneymaking websites, such as gambling, weight loss and games. In
fact, the sole purpose of this site is to help someone who isn't quite
as savvy with the web as the top moneymakers make money. It isn't
really about people who have a cool idea for a website, and want it
to be seen, it is mainly for people who are starting a website for
the sole purpose of making money.
