Manliness: Goodbye Metrosexual, Hello "Übersexual"

We interrupt your regularly scheduled media industry coverage to bring you this breaking report: Metrosexuality is passé. According to the ad firm that first spotted the metrosexual trend, today's cutting edge Adonis is more masculine, more intellectual, and more traditional. They have dubbed this new man "übersexual." From the article:

While metrosexuals were obsessed with self-image and lifestyle, the übersexual is politically aware and passionate about real world causes. The metrosexual has women who are his best friends, while the übersexual respects women but retains men as his closest confidants. The metrosexual grooms his hair: the übersexual grooms his mind. The metrosexual reads Vogue and Cosmo, the übersexual the Economist and the New Yorker.

It will be interesting to see how/whether content creators, advertisers, and manufacturers cater to the trend.
