I (heart) Madonna
So popstars like Madonna (who recovered quite nicely from her fall off a horse), are delivering their newest music in the newest ways that technology has to offer. Namely in cell phone ringtones. Following in the footsteps of music groups like U2, Shakira and Robbie Williams, Madonna released her newest single as a ringtone downloadable from VH1.com and MTV.com.
It's great publicity. Everytime the owner of said cell phone gets a call, the people around will hear the newest song. It's like a sample of the music in newly released albums. You are constantly being reminded that there is new work out there from some artist, this is kind of what it sounds like, and you should go out and buy the CD. Or download more of it from iTunes. Madonna is ahead of her time. :o)
